The Long Good-bye

Well, well, well! Looks like things are shaping up quite nicely! If all goes well on Friday at the Korean Consulate I will be in the air on Saturday as planned. If my package is not ready, it will be more likely that I will leave on Monday or Tuesday. With that being said, I want to say THANK YOU to all of you who came together to support me and help me get ready for this massive step in my life. Well it sure seems like I have a lot of people who care about me! The parties and chill-outs have been non-stop!

The next post will come from South Korea and will include pictures! Hope your as excited as I am!

After waiting patiently for a week, my copy of Street Fighter IV has arrived!



GEEK FACTOR: 10

Back in November I got my hands on a little PlayStation network game called, "Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix". Longest title ever. It was a visual update to an amazing game that I have grown up with my entire life. And OH was it ever worth the 15 bucks it cost to download! Not only were all of my favourite characters in full HD, but you could play people all over the world without losing millions of quaters! Trust me this game is THAT good! Well, soon after that game was released, there was an announcement of Street Fighter IV - and best of all it would be on a 2D engine with 3D graphics. Plus it would include all 8 ORIGINALS from the classic arcade game. Well I finally got a chance to sit down and play this game. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! Wow, what depth! All new characters mixed in with new moves and powerful specials! I've got to say I'm pretty BIAS with this whole franchise! Street Fighter may not produce the finest MOVIE experience(stay tuned for a movie review on the new Street Fighter: Legend of Chun-Li Movie) But the Games are things of BEAUTY! Wow - I guess I really am a full fledged GEEK! No wonder they call me Jzone!

More REAL than 3-D

Well, this is it guys. My date of departure has been given......February 28, 2009. EXACTLY 2 weeks from today! All kinds of feelings associated with leaving; happy, sad, scared. Now it's time to make a mad dash and get everything ready for my journey. It's kinda nice seeing my family and friends trying to rub off things that they know well, and that I don't. I couldn't be more grateful for the wonderful people in my life. As the date draws nearer and nearer I can see that I will be missed by many - not to worry though, the Zone will be back in only 365 sleeps! I wanna tell you all now while I can, I LOVE YOU! Can't wait to see what I'm gonna learn on this journey, from the people, places, and activities that I will be doing. Not to mention being in front of a classroom - this is gonna be AWESOME! 1 Year to grow a lifetime's worth. I wish all of you the best of luck in the '09 and will love to see where everyone is gonna be at when I get back. Lot's of LOVE from your boy, Zone.

It Has Begun

Hey Folks!

So it looks like things are coming to fruition - pending my Visa things, I will be departing for South Korea by the end of FEBRUARY!!!!!! Pretty soon if I say so myself! So much to learn! I think I'm doing things right, picked up an exstensive guide, got some language books, before you know it I'll have a Korean child! hahahah, who know's right? ;)

I hope to see all my peeps before I leave - you already know I'm gonna have a big going away thing, let's face it - you'll all miss me, even if it's just a little! hah!

I plan on using this blog to relay my trip as best I can, it will be YEAR LONG so I'm sure I'll have plenty to share! Just make sure you guys leave some comment's throughout the year, even if they're really short, it's not like I know anyone else that's gonna be down there!

Also, this is my first stab at the blog thing so I will try to make it as interesting and exciting as I am! I think I'll also write some brief reviews on movies I see and games I play so you can enjoy them too, if their worth it!
