Lotus Lantern Festival

Hey Everyone! Everything is going great out here in South Korea soooo many things have been done but not a lot of time to show you all what’s up! Between working at the school, studying the Korean language, partying it up, and the countless adventures I’ve been on – there hasn’t been much time for communication.

This was the Lotus Lantern Festival in Seoul – It was to celebrate the enlightening of the Buddha, after watching “The Little Buddha” which is a terrific movie save for the fact that Keanu Reeves plays Siddhartha(!), I picked up a book on Buddhism to find out what it was all about – pretty cool…

This one is dedicated to Midnight Buster Bunny Singh – R.I.P. – You’ll be hopping in our hearts forever – and if, according to the Buddha, you are reincarnated, I hope it’s something cool!

I found a real easy way to upload pics – so sit back, relax, and enjoy 128 photos!!!

STRUGGLIN

Hey guys and gyals - really taking long with these updates!!!! Now I have some free time (a couple days left on vacation) I will try to spew some stuff out!

First up is some footage from my very first live Rugby game! It was Korea's team, the BIGGEST Korean's I've ever seen in my life - these guys were monsters, against a farm team from England. Sad to say that this match was not even close - a total beatdown on the Korean's on their own soil. Don't know why the Englishmen had to be so mean......they beat them by like 100 points - it was pretty entertaining though!

Here's the Pics:

Here's the program.

I've got to say, the crowd was mainly Korean!

Pretty sure this was the section for the people who came from England to see their team!

"Survey Says!" England 61 Korea 0 = after the First Half!

VIDEO TIME!!!!!!

Back to a few more pics:

GAME OVER!!!

Coming soon.... Lotus Lantern Festival!!!

It’s been a long time since I left you, without a dope POST to step to…

Hey guys, what can I say? I've been very busy over the past couple of months and have neglected my BLOG. I said last time I was gonna post some pics from the live Soccer game I went to - and by the way, that seems like ages ago! Got tons of pics and vids coming at ya this time so I hope your ready. I will definitely be on top of this blog thing more, as I have really fallen behind! So much to say and pics to post! And hey, If your gonna take the time to read my stuff (which I'm thankful for) don't be afraid to take the time and comment once in a while :) This time I'll let all the pics speak for themselves.

Here Goes...

Suwon Vs. Busan

Suwon, home of the Blue Wings, my first professional soccer match! And yes, I say professional because Suwon is in FIFA the videogame!! This was a weekday game so the crowd was not that big. However, the cheering section was on FIRE!!!!! They had a cheer captain on the megaphone telling everyone what to chant. There was never a dull moment - cheering for 90 mins is awesome, I definitely lost my voice by the end of the match! My city is called Yong In and is about 40 minutes from Suwon so this is our "home" team. A few friends and I went to this game, one of my friends who has been here for about 4 years is a season ticket holder. The game cost only 10, 000 Won which is a little less than 10 bucks. They have an awesome Spanish player - EDU - who they pronounce EDO...He scored one of the goals on April 12 2009, the day I saw the game. Suwon took it 2 - 0. I'm guessing that EDU is from Cuba because for some reason there were a bunch of CHE flags throughout the Suwon World Cup Stadium, that was cool. Of course it wouldn't be a true Soccer Match without an injury. I love how he was carried out on a stretcher in an ambulance on the field and was back on the field all within 5 minutes - now that is some "football" hahah. Anyways the match was awesome - here are a bunch of photos and I've compiled a little video to show off the vibe of the crowd but it turned out to be too long to string together so there will be a bunch of mini-videos - the chants are great!
